Level IV Therapeutic EBD Program (K–12)
Purpose
MVCS provides a separate site program that offers educational and therapeutic services for students who have been identified as needing additional skills and supports in the academic setting. All academics are individualized according to the student’s need, performance and ability level. Individual Programming is designed to help the student develop feelings of confidence and competence as well as academic success. The therapeutic component consists of groups based on student need as well as individual and family therapy.
Program Goals
- Teach mental health management techniques.
- Encourage growth in IEP goals leading to academic progress.
- Develop social and independent living skills.
- Provide family systems therapy.
- Coordinate a collaborative effort to reintegrate students to a less restrictive setting.
